Why Attend This Training Course?
The active power balance in the power system is the precondition for frequency stability. Similarly, voltage is regulated by a reactive power balance. Therefore, safety measures and advanced training are essential for the operator. For two systems transmitting the same amount of active power, the system with the lower power factor will have higher circulating currents due to energy that returns to the source from the energy storage in the load.
This course explains the basics of active and reactive power, the layout and operation of the power grid, as well as the power markets. Terminology, grid structures and grid components, market players and the coordination of supply and demand will be also be discussed in this specialized training course.

What Is The Training Course Methodology?
This training methodology illustrates the concepts involved in the above areas through practical consideration of actual real-life problems, as well as explanation of concepts by experts in area using video projectors and computer aided case studies based on practical applications. Participants will solve their system problem, where the trainee’s try to apply the skills learnt with guidance from our specialized experts. ACAD will provide participants a comprehensive assessment on the problems solved using the skills acquired in the training course.
