Why Attend This Training Course?
This is a practical training course is designed to assess candidates’ safe switching practices when operating high and low voltage power systems. It is intended for candidates requiring independent external assessment of their level of competence. It also provides up-to-date information on OSHA General Industry and IEEE standards that are relevant to electrical safety in the workplace. Armed with this knowledge, safety managers, human resources (HR) and risk and loss control personnel can implement an effective self-inspection program that helps prevent electrical accidents, OSHA citations and outages caused by accidents. The information provided in this course prepares participants to recognize existing issues within their facility.
What Is The Training Course Methodology?
This training methodology illustrates the concepts involved in the above areas through practical consideration of actual real-life problems, as well as explanation of concepts by experts in area using video projectors and computer aided case studies based on practical applications. Participants will solve their system problem, where the trainee’s try to apply the skills learnt with guidance from our specialized experts. ACAD will provide participants a comprehensive assessment on the problems solved using the skills acquired in the training course.
Who Should Attend This Training Course?
This training course is intended for electrical / plant / engineers / supervisors / technicians / responsible for the inspection, operation, maintenance and repair of high voltage systems.
What Are The Training Course Objectives?
This is a practical workshop designed to assess candidates' safe switching practices when operating on high voltage power systems. It is intended for candidates requiring independent external assessment of their level of competence. It will also assess the competency of electrical personnel prior to becoming an authorized person for safety and operational switching duties of electrical power systems. It includes theoretical, verbal and practical assessment. This is an individual assessment and most dates can be arranged to suit clients' requirements.
